As part of our effort to promote transparency and accountability been driven by good governance for service delivery for the citizens of Nigeria states, we are tracking the 2015 federal constituency project in budget both in Rural and Urban environs in Kebbi state.
In the months of February and March, The team has tracked project in the different communities in Kebbi state. So far we have covered a total number of 23 projects, of the projects, tracked, there are 15 completions,4 ongoing and 4 undone projects.
The Tracka team paid a visit to the Unguwa community to oversee N10 million for the Construction of 2 classrooms at Unguwar Kanta-Tukurwa- Kamba,this project has been completed, as the indigenes express satisfaction over government effort to build the school for the community. The village head revealed to the team,that the pupils have been learning under the tree before the construction of the building. They also applaud the work the Tracka teams are doing in the state, and also advice that we should not relent on this selfless service and encourage us to do more for local communities.

The team moved to Argungu community,the sum of N55 million was allocated for Youth and women empowerment(Supply of Tricycle,Grinding machines,Sewing machines and Jincheng motorcycle for Argungu.)The youth president affirmed to the team that such empowerment items were not distributed in their community and they were not even aware of such.

Field visit by the team to Argungu.N 85 Million was budgeted for the construction of 6 nos of 3 classrooms blocks with VIP toilet, a supply of books teaching aids and furniture in Augie,Arugungu,Arewa, Dandi,Suru and Bagudo all in Kebbi north senatorial district. In Argungu the contractor was sighted at the Jama’atul Nasiru Islamic School work is ongoing at the project site but I could not reach out to the school management as it was the closing time I arrived at the project site.

Our team sensitized the focus community members, charged them to engage their elected Representative at the National Assembly ceaselessly, holding them accountable for prompt service delivery.
We will organize more town hall meetings to educate people about the budget and project implementation process. There will be follow-up engagement sessions with the Senators to ensure service delivery in these communities.
